Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager to lead the international US GAAP accounting team, based in Dublin. This role will be responsible for managing the US GAAP close process across 30+ international entities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

The position requires a strong results driven leader, proven experience in multinational environments, and the ability to partner effectively across global finance teams. The role will play a key part in driving process improvements, strengthening controls (including SOX compliance), and supporting external audit requirements, while contributing to the continuous development of the global finance function.

Key Responsibilities

US GAAP Close & Reporting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP close process for 30+ international entities
  • Review and oversee reconciliations and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Partner with local and regional accounting teams to ensure timely delivery of results and alignment with corporate timelines.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the team
  • Coordinate closely with US based accounting teams to ensure consistent processes and alignment internationally

Controls & Compliance

Implement, own, and continuously improve key internal controls, including SOX controls, across the US GAAP accounting function.

Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

In close collaboration with the Statutory Accounting team, support the provision of audit backup files and supporting documentation.

Process Improvement & Transformation

Identify and drive improvements in the monthly close, reporting and reconciliation processes, focusing on standardization, automation (including the use of AI technologies), and efficiency.

Support finance transformation projects, ERP implementation, and other initiatives to strengthen the accounting functions

Business Partnership & Collaboration

Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, AP, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of accounting processes.

Provide accounting guidance and support to internal stakeholders across the business.

Work closely with the International Financial Controller on ad hoc projects, policy implementations, and strategic initiatives.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of relevant post-qualification accounting experience, including substantial exposure to US GAAP in a multinational environment.
  • Proven experience leading a close process and managing accounting operations for multiple entities.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit management.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across geographies and cultures.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP as an ERP systems and also in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with reconciliation software (e.g., FloQast) is an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a hands-on, collaborative mindset.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
