About the job

This position is needed to support Accounts Payable Global Delivery. This person will be responsible for auditing the accounting of invoices and Purchase Orders, Travel & Expense Accounting Audit, handling queries & Month End Closing. Ability to adhere to agreed SLA’s,  analyze invoice issues and interpret problems & probable solutions is a prerequisite of this role. This position is based out of our Bangalore, India office and will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.  

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Drive continuous improvement!
  • Meet agreed Service Level Agreement
  • AP SME: Master purchase orders, invoices, T&E, credit cards, resolve issues, and deliver insightful reports.
  • Ensure effective and timely response to stakeholder enquiries.
  • Highlight deviation and suggest process improvement.
  • Perform month-end activities related to Accounts Payable and ensure timely completion.

Required:

Responsibilities

  •     Bachelor’s degree in finance or commerce.
  •     7+ years’ experience working in a finance function preferably at a fast-growing Technology company. Experience in a Shared Service Center environment is a plus.

Accounts Payable:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP function, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment disbursements.
  •  In-depth experience across the procurement cycle, encompassing purchase requisition verification, PO creation, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct complex invoice and expense report reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Maintain vendor records and relationships, ensuring timely payments and resolving disputes.

Credit Card Activities:

  • Reconcile credit card accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor credit card spending and usage, identifying potential fraud or irregularities.
  • Manage credit card chargebacks and disputes, working with card issuers to resolve issues.
  • Analyze credit card data to identify spending patterns and cost-saving opportunities.

Accounting Activities:

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline AP, credit card, and accounting processes.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices.

 Desired:

  • Experience in Oracle Fusion / SAP / JDE
  • Strong excel skills
  • Data Visualization Skills 

Location

This role will be based in our Bangalore office. Approximately 1% travel is anticipated.
