Responsibilities:
  • Perform pricing analysis on various segments & present findings to management and senior leaders 
  • Develop analytical frameworks to assess risk and explore different insurance structures to find creative insurance solutions across multiple lines of business
  • Collaborate with team members to support financial forecast & scenario testing
  • Support cross-functional teams such as Product and Policy
  • Build and maintain tools and dashboards for pricing analysis and trend identification
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Take ownership of the tasks assigned and drive insightful analysis
Experience:
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or similar
  • Near ACAS or ACAS
  • 3-5 years of experience in the P&C actuarial field (flexible scheduling during exam preparation and continuing education support for FCAS; we want to be part of your career development!)
  • Experience or knowledge in pricing or modeling is a plus
  • Personal or commercial auto insurance experience required
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience in programming, particularly with visualization libraries in Python or R
  • Very strong Excel, and an interest in coding/automation is preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Balance attention to detail with fast-pace Lyft environment
  • Passionate about actuarial science and eager to learn and grow
  • Innovative, with a history of creative problem-solving

The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $128,000 - $160,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
