The Community You Will Join:

The International Payroll team is expanding and we are looking for a Payroll Analyst to support our growth in the region. Reporting to the Manager, International Payroll Operations, the ideal candidate will be responsiblefor the payroll processing within India, has outstanding attention to detail and enjoys working in a challenging, fast–paced and high-growth.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Senior Payroll Analyst team member you will have broad exposure to various functions at Airbnb, including Talent, Benefits & Finance and will also work closely with external business partners. The ideal candidate forthis position will have a strong understanding of India Payroll, excellent technical and communication skills. This position reports to the Manager, International Payroll.

A Typical Day:

  • Payroll inputs gathering and validation of inputs from various stakeholders and ensure the payouts are processed on time
  • Partners with the Operation and Recruiting team for accurate and efficient processing of all new hires joining information.
  • Prepare attendance & leaves data, share initial inputs with payroll team, reconcile the inputs on pay register
  • Ensuring no dues clearances are updated, coordinating all exit formalities in partnership with all stakeholder involved in the process
  • Process full & final settlement on-time (as per the schedule) with accuracy
  • Collaborating with technology partner/payroll vendor for sharing requirement that would impact the process of payouts
  • Partner in audit of all the payouts happening through payroll, reimbursement and external vendors
  • Support in filing statutory compliances, preparing journal entries, file TDS returns as per the defined schedule
  • Understanding of relevant labour and tax laws and its impact
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc payroll reporting and data analysis
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships that improve collaboration and key decision-making that aids in the delivery of a world-class employee experience
  • Experience in handling employee queries via helpdesk
  • Experience in project management & process improvement

Your Expertise:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in processing payroll & leading payroll function
  • Ability to manage & understand confidential data professionally
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic and self-directed
  • Strong analytical, process mapping, and procedural documentation skills
  • Knowledge of Payroll & Labour law compliances.
  • Experience in maintaining/creating documentation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Workday
  • Experience handling payroll vendor & compliance vendor - vendor management
