Senior Android Engineer, Checkout

The Community You Will Join:
- Org Overview: The Booking & Pricing organization has a wide array of mission critical responsibilities across the Guest and Host experience including merchandising listings, enabling Booking and Reservation Management and managing pricing & calendar systems.
- XFN Collaborators: In addition to working with other engineering organizations such as Payments and Trust, you will be responsible for closely collaborating with cross-functional partners in Product Marketing, Design and Data Science.
The Difference You Will Make:
As a Checkout Android Engineer, you’ll work with a full-stack team of talented, diverse software developers to enable and optimize a best in class Booking experience that scales across all of Airbnb’s current and future product offerings.
A Typical Day:
- Collaborate with engineers and Product & Design partners to align on product requirements
- Lead the scoping, the definition of technical requirements and the implementation of the new Booking related functionalities
- Build efficient and robust user experience while making sure to maintain performance and quality
- Provide mentorship and support other engineers in the team or in a related team
Your Expertise:
- YOE: 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building Android applications and products at scale
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with teams across the engineering organization
- Product-oriented: Passionate about building intuitive and delightful products to solve real user problems while maintaining a high technical quality bar
- Large-scale Production System: Strong problem solver that has experience working with mission critical production systems
- Bonus: Expertise building & operating Booking or Payment related systems
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Pay Range$185,000—$221,000 USD
