About the Role
Mixpanel's marketing team is responsible for creating messaging, content, and programs that drive awareness with our target audience, influence purchase decisions, and help users achieve maximum value from our products. We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Content Marketing Manager. This person be responsible for leading our content strategy, creation, and distribution, focusing on both high-level strategic planning and hands-on writing. You will play a key role in articulating complex analytics concepts through creative storytelling and targeted copy that engages and converts our diverse audience segments.
This person will play a pivotal role in defining Mixpanel’s marketing strategy and aligning stakeholders across the company to delivering on that content strategy. This person should be an expert on bringing the voice of the customer into the room, they should be a strong thought partner for the marketing team and be an exceptional storyteller. This person should think about the bigger picture of how content can drive awareness and conversion. This person will report to the Head of Product Marketing, Content, and Growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why.
- Lead the editorial calendar and content production schedule to ensure timely publication and maximize reach.
- Craft compelling, SEO-optimized copy for a variety of formats, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, email marketing campaigns, and more.
- Collaborate closely with product marketing, demand generation, field marketing, and brand teams to create a unified and distinctive voice across all content.
- Analyze content performance metrics and use these insights to steer future content strategies, continuously optimizing our approach.
- Translate a technical analytics product into a narrative and personalize content and messaging for different customer segments, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.
- Mentor a copywriter, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing or copywriting within a tech or software company. Ideally B2B.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business.
- Experienced in leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
Compensation
The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here.Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
