About the team 

We are on a mission to build the ultimate go-to-market engine.  To help us to achieve our mission, we are seeking a Data Analyst to strengthen the Revenue Analytics Team and support SumUp's strategic Sales initiatives. This role partners with Sales leadership to identify business needs, then construct data models, generate reports and dashboards, and offer advanced analysis and actionable insights to drive improvement in our Sales channel. You will make a significant contribution to the business by being a valued business partner, a member of an experienced data team and by actively participating in the development of the analytics chapter.

 

What you'll do:

  • Create efficient data models that track sales performance and KPIs, from marketing spend to product activation, including metrics like estimated revenue and estimated lifetime value
  • Use data to drive analysis and actionable recommendations to shape program design, operations, and strategy
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Strategic Finance to set performance targets, define KPIs, create scalable reporting and forecasts, and provide insight to drivers of pacing against goals
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership to develop and evaluate Sales strategies based on data-aware insights and qualitative analysis
  • Develop advanced dashboards to facilitate self-service analytics for the Sales, Finance and Revenue teams as well as SumUp Leadership
  • Drive strategic data OKRs aligned with SumUp's business goals, such as small merchant segmentation and readout
  • Partner with Analytics Engineers to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, processed, and accessible for analytics

 

You’ll be great for this role if you have:

  • 2-4 years of years of analytical experience at a high-growth tech company in an Analytics/Corporate Strategy/Business Operations role or at a top management consulting firm with exposure to Sales/GTM assignments, including at least 1 year of professional work experience in data analytics and in data model design, preferably with experience in dbt, and collaborative development using Git
  • Hands-on experience in developing advanced dashboards following industry best practices, preferably using Tableau
  • The capacity to examine Sales and GTM requirements and translate them into KPIs, insights, data models and dashboards
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, adept at finding trends and summarizing key insights from ambiguous data sets, coupled with effective communication skills and a strategic mindset, enabling seamless collaboration with GTM leadership
  • Highly analytical, the capacity to apply quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to influence business outcomes
