Position Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the development and shipping of innovative new features and the expansion and enhancement of our existing codebase. You will have complete ownership of your work, ensuring that every aspect is executed to a high standard. This includes developing high quality code that effectively meets product requirements, implementing comprehensive test automation, optimizing scalability within our cloud infrastructure, and establishing proper monitoring practices.

 

Your role will involve working with the latest cloud-native AWS services and solutions, actively contributing to the ongoing evolution of our platform. You will strive to maximize its value for our customers by working on one of the core functionalities of our platform, using different technologies to achieve our goals. Embracing the dynamic nature of the role, you will always be presented with new challenges, making your work both engaging and intellectually stimulating.

 

Required Skills for a Backend Engineer at Showpad

  • 5+ years of experience as backend engineer develop scalable, production-ready solutions
  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs for, and collaborating with, internal and/or public data consumers
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Understands the importance of strong software testing at every stage and can advocate for test-driven development
  • Continuous integration and delivery mindset

 

Bonus points

  • Experience with PHP and/or Golang
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS
