 We are searching for a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. This team member will assist with, and eventually own, a dynamic and diverse set of responsibilities. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of FP&A.  It is critical that this individual is self-motivated, a self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrates good judgment and discretion.  

Responsibilities

  • Operate the monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A processes, including Annual Operating Planning, Monthly forecasts and budget vs actuals analysis
  • Support headcount planning, modeling, and data-driven decision making to optimize workforce strategies
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial review packages for executive management and the Board of Directors
  • Structure, build, and maintain complex financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
  • Support senior leadership on ad-hoc research and analysis
  • Work closely with cross-functionalleaders to review, refine, and finalize financial and operating metrics and leverage to forecast accurately.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data structures, align on definitions and data sources, and build automation of agreed upon metrics

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations or related fields
  • Robust financial modeling, ideally with experience in Tech or other high growth industries
  • Strong systems aptitude and advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools such as Pigment, Oracle, or Anaplan is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking; ability to communicate complex concepts at a high level
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
  • Superb communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • History of cross functional work with strong relationship management & collaboration
  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBAs invited to apply; CFA/CPA a plus)

The preferred location for this position is in Pacific Standard Time zone, and will consider Mountain Standard Time zone

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:

SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $100,000 - $128,000Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $90,000 - $110,000All other cities and towns in our approved states: $85,000 - $105,000

Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location. Liftoff provides employees a total compensation package of competitive market salaries, equity, health and wellness stipends, medical benefits associated with your country of residence. The base compensation will vary based on location, experience as well as level.
