Your Impact
  • You’ll work as a software developer in the cross-functional team (consisting of UX, data scientists, data engineer, frontend and backend) focussed on developing solutions in the area of train operations, which means building decision support solutions for optimizing train traffic & building data-heavy web applications
  • We’re a newly formed team and you’ll have the chance to lay the foundations and set the right direction
  • You own your designs and code & bring along good coding practices throughout the full product life cycle and keep other team members accountable to meet goals.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have
  • 5+ years of experience writing production code in Python.
  • 3+ years of experience developing backend functionality within a cloud environment, preferably AWS (Lambdas, Dynamo DB, API Gateway, EventBridge…), using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with building frontends in a modern framework. React (+TypeScript) is beneficial.
  • Experience with data engineering and database technologies is beneficial, ideally Spark and Delta Lake on the Databricks platform.
  • Experience with graph databases and graph-based algorithms or machine learning is a plus.
  • As a generalist you’re eager to continuously learn and open to switch between different technical domains like Backend, Frontend, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
  • You enjoy working in a close team setup and being an active communicator.

  • You're a problem-solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and owns the outcome.
