We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer - MLOps for our Personalisation team.

You will join a team of data scientists, machine learning specialists and data and backend engineers building new product personalisation features driven by data and machine learning. Your work will deepen our understanding of our learners, and your code accelerates our journey into AI powered language learning, impacting millions of language learners across the globe.

You will:

• Partner with data scientists and engineers to design, build, deploy, and maintain models and pipelines that power our personalisation solutions
• Ensure reliability and scalability of our AI/ML solutions by creating monitoring and observability solutions
• Reduce the time-to-market for experimenting with Al/ML powered features by creating and establishing end-to-end MLOps technologies and standards in a cloud-based environment
• Innovate and bring your ideas to life to help millions of language learners across the globe to achieve their language learning goals

You have:

• Computer science or related engineering degree and 4 years of professional experience designing, building, and operating data-intensive ML systems
• You are proficient and have industry experience in modern Python, Python data stack, and ML frameworks such as SciKit Learn and PyTorch
• Substantial experience designing and building end-to-end MLOps solutions on the cloud from data gathering and feature management to model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring
• Industry experience in architecting and building data applications in AWS Cloud especially using serverless, data and ML capabilities such as Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and SageMaker
• Infrastructure management experience using terraform
• You are an expert in querying, modeling, and optimizing data in large-scale SQL and NoSQL databases and Big Data technologies such as Databricks
• You are experienced in transforming data science prototypes into production-ready solutions with a commitment to Software Engineering best practices
• You are a team player with proven performance in cross-functional software development teams
• You have a can-do attitude that marries technical excellence with a sense for user impact

Nice to have:

• Experience building near-real time and real time data pipelines
• Data engineering experience with Apache Spark and Databricks
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
• Experience in Natural Language Processing
• Experience building and fine-tuning Deep Learning models
• Experience optimizing Deep Learning models for deployment and inference
