THE WORK:
We are seeking a collaborative and highly adaptable individual to join our fast-paced, growing accounting team. As the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our Record to Report (R2R) function for scalability and resilience, in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and shaping accounting strategy to support business goals.
You will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining the global consolidated and US entities period-end close processes with a focus on driving continuous improvements, identifying root causes to frictions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions, all to ensure timely delivery of useful and accurate financial information to various stakeholders. The position will report to the US Regional Controller and will be based out of the San Francisco office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Oversee new product initiatives, assess their accounting implications, ensure the accounting team’s data/process needs are met in collaboration with cross-functional teams, to support timely launch while maintaining operational efficiency
- Gain a thorough understanding of current processes and controls to enhance the R2R function’s efficiency and accuracy
- Identify and implement timely optimization for a streamlined period-end close
- Coordinate with international teams to standardize US GAAP-compliant global accounting practices
- Collaborate with various departments to align R2R processes with internal and external reporting needs
- Assess new business initiatives to integrate them effectively into the period-end close workflow
- Facilitate the implementation of new ERP system and the automation of R2R tasks
- Tackle ad-hoc project as required
- Actively engage teams to achieve organizational objectives and complete projects on time
- Assist with annual audits preparations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure internal control documentation reflecting business processes changes are updated timely
- Proactively manage undefined issues by asking critical questions and adapting to evolving priorities
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 8+ years of combined industry and public accounting experience
- 3+ years in a high-paced general accounting or controllership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
- Strong Finance systems background, with proficiency in GL systems and other financial accounting tools
- Versatility in operational accounting, including direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliation
- Expertise in accounting for financial service products and activities pertaining trading, derivatives, hedging, digital assets a major plus
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex accounting challenges with updated regulatory knowledge
- Exceptional project management skills and cross-departmental communication proficiency
- Agile adaptability to shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Advanced Excel proficiency mandatory
- Practical experience with Intacct or comparable ERP systems
- Influential communicator with strong stakeholder engagement
- Robust work ethic, proactive learning, and dedication to continual improvement
- Ability to attend San Francisco office 10-12 days monthly
