We are looking for a highly driven and seasoned Stock Administration professional to join our amazing Finance team. Reporting into the Senior Director of Accounting and Reporting, you will be leading the team in various efforts, including administering our equity programs, employee education, compliance, audit and reconciliations, domestic and international taxation and filings, as well as our close processes. What You'll Do:

  • Lead the stock administration function and manage global equity programs, including process improvement, implementing automated solutions, and evaluating service providers (e.g. E*Trade and AST) with a focus on scale and team member experience
  • Oversee the management and administration of Fastly’s global stock plans, including ensuring integrity and accuracy around processing stock awards, handling vestings, exercises and settlements, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) activities and other plan activities
  • Ensure database integrity, and accuracy of record keeping of employee data and equity data in the E*Trade stock administration system. Includes monthly reconciliation of equity activity, including shares outstanding and share reserves among company records, the transfer agent and broker records to support internal and external reporting activities
  • Partner with other functional leads (including Legal, People Team (HR), Payroll, Accounting and Finance) to scale existing processes while ensuring the accuracy of all equity data, including all aspects of record-keeping, withholding, reporting reconciliation and compliance
  • Foster a positive participant experience by supporting employee’s understanding of Fastly’s equity award programs and policies through routine employee training and communication, including maintaining our internal equity site
  • Ensure global equity reporting and compliance with international tax and regulatory requirements, including ensuring timely and accurate year-end equity related tax filings, while supporting Fastly’s domestic and international expansion efforts

What We're Looking For: 

  • 8+ years of relevant stock administration experience or equivalent experience in a multinational, publicly traded company, including experience managing processes and systems to maximize effectiveness in a SOX environment
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
  • Works well in a high-pressure, high-volume environment and is able to juggle multiple assignments, concurrent deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Advanced analytical ability and ability to identify issues and provide solutions
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and internal/external partners
  • Able to build strong cross-functional relationships and inspire action
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. federal, state and global taxation equity compensation requirements
  • Experienced user of the E*Trade equity administration software, Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation required
  • Prior responsibility working with Big 4 CPA firms in connection with audits

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

  • An E*Trade superuser that champions best practices and understands how to best leverage the tool
  • Has supported various international expansion efforts, including developing mobility tax strategies and navigating the landscape of international taxation and regulatory compliance
  • Can drive accounting for equity awards under ASC 718

Work Hours:

​​This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Work Location & Travel Requirements:

The position will be based in our San Francisco office. Fastly embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees the flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $155,370 to $194,210.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
