The Difference You will Make:
The Senior Marketing Manager, Germany will report to the Senior Marketing Lead, Germany and CEE and join the Germany & CEE Marketing team as an integrated member of the function. They will work in close partnership with Senior Marketing Lead, Germany and CEE to support the development and execution of strategic, insight-led local marketing plans and the adaptation of the global media campaigns to local nuances -that both drive business growth and strengthen Airbnb’s brand in the market.
They will help identify local opportunities, activate integrated campaigns, manage agency partners, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including PR, media, product, business development and performance marketing. The role also involves adapting and localizing global initiatives to ensure cultural relevance and impact.
A Typical Day:
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and programs for Germany, aligned with global strategy and local business priorities.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Lead to identify local opportunities and deliver impactful, insight-led campaigns that drive growth and strengthen brand relevance.
- Manage agency relationships, including briefing, timelines, contracts, budgets, and end-to-end delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. PR, media, social, product marketing, performance marketing) to activate campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Oversee the adaptation and localization of global marketing initiatives to ensure cultural relevance and local resonance in close collaboration with the localization team
- Track campaign performance and support reporting, optimization, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure all marketing activity reflects Airbnb’s brand values and delivers against business and brand KPIs in the German market.
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years in a marketing role, preferably with experience at a fast paced startup or technology company
- Deep understanding of the brand, community, and product ecosystem of a digital travel platform.
- Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to drive innovative marketing programs that deliver tangible results.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategy, vision, and ideas clearly and succinctly.
- Ability to work strategically and operationally, managing both high-level planning and hands-on execution.
- Strategic mindset for designing efficient team structures and processes that accelerate results within complex matrix organizations
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); proficiency in German or any CEE language is a plus but not required.
- Appreciation for design and a genuine passion for Airbnb’s mission, values, and community.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region and internationally as needed.

The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
