About the departmentThe Self-Serve Team is responsible for Cloudflare’s PLG business that serves ~20% of the internet. We run growth marketing and product experimentation across all product categories including Application Services, Cloudflare One and Developer Platform, and all Plans such as Free, Pro, Business & Enterprise. We work to grow the business by understanding our customers’ needs at every stage of their journey from Awareness to Activation to Expansion and Retention.
Who you areOur Product Analytics team is responsible for generating data-driven insights to help make key decisions to improve our products and help our customers. You are excited to do this at tremendous scale across our product suite. You excel at immersing yourself in a lot of data and synthesizing that data into actionable insights. You love to move uncomfortably fast and thrive in ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Help to build an insights engine.
- Become an expert in our data and systems. You should be able to get the underlying data for all of our customers & products.
- Generate insights and recommendations for how we should drive growth across any of our products.
- Understand key company and product team objectives. Use this understanding to prioritize the many programs being run by the teams we support.
- In some cases you will be responsible for the execution of key programs. You will need to build strong relationships with our product and engineering leaders and drive those programs to completion.
Who you are
- Minimum of 10+ years of analytics, operations, and/or data science experience, ideally in PLG or B2C companies.
- Strong analytical skills, especially with Excel and ideally including proficiency in SQL and Tableau
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, write queries, and work with large quantities of data.
- Experience with and point of view on best practices for a PLG technology stack
- Experience driving long term cross-functional projects and thriving as the “glue person”. This means you are exceptional at understanding complex problems and designing solutions.
- Just as importantly, you are able to mobilize a cross-functional team to execute the solution.
- You are highly motivated to make Cloudflare and your team successful.
- Demonstrative executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer facing experience is a plus!
