Senior Product Manager – Product Discovery & Channels
As a Product Manager focused on Mapp‘s Product Discovery solution, you will play a crucial role in expanding our product's reach and capabilities within the fashion and retail sectors. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the dedicated Product Manager for the Product Discovery solution. In addition, you’ll be acting as Product Owner in the Channels domain – a dedicated engineering team focused on Mapp‘s communication channels (e.g., Email, SMS, Mobile Push, Web Push). This role requires subject matter expertise in personalization, particularly product recommendations. Technical expertise for the technologies and standards involved in email, sms and mobile push communication is also required. Due to the cross-domain nature and overlap with commercial teams, you will be involved in many exciting projects pivotal to launching and improving Mapp Fashion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:- Strategic Planning: Translate Mapp’s product vision and strategy into a roadmap for the Product Discovery solution and related Mapp Fashion initiatives.
- Domain Leadership: Act as the dedicated Product Owner for the Channels domain, guiding product direction and development.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-domain projects to bring product discovery capabilities (i.e., product recommendations and curated lists of products) into Mapp’s existing channels, but also completely new channels we’ll offer through partners.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Develop and maintain deep expertise in personalization technologies, including product recommendations, omni-channel marketing and e-commerce in general.
- Backlog Management: Create and maintain a product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to prioritize development efforts.
- Specification Development: Craft clear, detailed product requirement documents to outline desired functionality for product features and integrations.
- Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to guide product development, ensuring solutions meet market needs and align with the strategic vision.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research within the E-Commerce, Retail, and Fashion tech spaces to understand emerging trends and technologies, applying insights to enhance our product offerings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather feedback, align roadmaps, and ensure successful product launches. This role involves significant interaction with commercial teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze product performance, using data-driven insights to improve functionality and user experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years experience in product management, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment. Experience working in a B2B SaaS MarTech company is a bonus.
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding and experience in at least two of the following areas:
- E-Commerce (technology vendors and business model)
- Retail (technology vendors and business model)
- Fashion (brands, technology vendors and business model)
- Product Recommendations
- Search & Merchandising
- Large Language Models (application in fashion-related tasks)
- Computer Vision / Image Recognition
- A/B Testing
- Content Personalization (CMS, DXP)
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and think strategically.
