MongoDB is seeking an exceptional Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution of our database ACID transactions offering. You will be pivotal in shaping MongoDB's transaction capabilities and establishing MongoDB as a leading distributed database for mission-critical transactional workloads.

In this role, you will own the product vision, requirements, and execution plan for MongoDB's transactions offering. You will work closely with engineering teams, customers, partners, and industry experts to enhance MongoDB's transaction guarantees, performance, tooling, and overall experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for MongoDB's ACID transactions
  • Own the product vision, requirements, and execution plan for our transactions offering
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, partners, and industry experts to enhance MongoDB's transaction guarantees, performance, tooling, and overall experience
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the ACID-compliant transactional database space
  • Gather and analyze feedback, usage data, and market insights to drive product improvements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on product requirements, go-to-market strategies, and customer success initiatives
  • Deeply understand distributed database architectures, transaction concepts, database internals, concurrency control, and isolation levels
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, performance, and scalability of our ACID transactions implementation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the transactional database space
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a deeply technical customer-facing role, focusing on database systems and transaction processing
  • Deep expertise in ACID properties, transaction processing systems, and distributed database architectures
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex technical projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Passion for innovation in the ACID-compliant transactional database space
  • Strong technical acumen - our Product Managers must be as technical as their engineering counterparts and have depth of knowledge

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$118,000—$231,000 USD
