The Difference You Will Make:

  • This is a senior IC position with a wide range of responsibilities. Looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate individual with the in-depth expertise of a senior level creative production/project manager, who would lead and coordinate activities across OnAir's four key function areas: Live Production, Executive Production, AV Engineering, and Creative Production. 
  • This position is in direct contact with partners and key stakeholders acting as a “voice of the team”. Therefore, this role plays a key part in helping to drive operational excellence, in building business growth and positive partner relationships, as well as project satisfaction.

A Typical Day: 

  • Acts as an internal resource that works closely with the Senior Team Manager to help to build and strengthen the team’s reputation as a creative strategic partner to improve collaboration and drive tighter cross-functional alignment.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the project communications and details that are critical to leveraging broader team/org vision to develop scalable and/or system-wide project/production management solutions for growth and impact. 
  • Anticipates and sets project/production management direction for the team, the capacity to influence decisions on innovative solutions and provide input to the Senior Team Manager on the long-term roadmap, as appropriate. 
  • Has an advanced breadth and depth of skills in a range of project management platforms and systems, to enable the implementation, modification and building of specialized requirements to meet evolving project/production needs.
  • Exemplify Airbnb's Leadership Fundamentals and articulates ideas in a clear, concise manner with the ability to think creatively regarding live productions or executive interview set-ups, as well as the ability to identify and drive technical and/or process improvements that may have occasional global impact.
  • Leads by example, upholds team culture, mentors and oversees junior level staff and contractors while ensuring adherence of standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for handling matters that have wider organizational implications, such as cross-functional collaboration, workflow efficiencies, managing resource allocation, ensuring strategic alignment across different departments/orgs and optimizing team dynamics for high performance so OKR targets are met, and projects are completed on time and within client parameters.
  • Lead project and weekly production meetings, manage overall team production schedule/calendar and keeps OnAir team apprised of upcoming productions and other pertinent deadlines.
  • Ensure production resources are assigned to remote or in-person productions and projects.
  • Oversee and/or assist when needed in scheduling production/project related meetings, defining resource requirements and booking/shipping related equipment.
  • Oversee the process to document, assign and keep track of all production and project related tasks within the OnAir team’s management systems (ie., Airtable, Slack, Frame i.o, etc.) and help to maintain the related outward and internal documentation. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across OnAir's four function areas with a broad understanding that spans basic engineering technical principles to crafting extensive thematic storylines. 
  • Effective risk identification and response, and proactively anticipate various risk factors and outcomes, as well as the ability to understand potential risks/challenges and proactively mitigate them.
  • Extensive experience working with and overseeing external vendors such as developing vendor scope, tracking and reviewing vendor assets, as well as managing staff augmentation and securing freelance crew. 

Your Expertise:

  • 10-12 years of proven work experience as a multimedia production/project manager that can confidently lead small crews and staff members.
  • A degree in communications, project management, video production or related field.
  • In-house creative team or production company experience coupled with strong knowledge of video, live event and audio production.
  • Robust skills with project management tools and Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar/Slides or Word/Excel/Calendar/Powerpoint
  • Solid project leadership skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player and client service minded individual with a positive attitude and the willingness to learn how to best support each member of the OnAir team from inception to delivery of a project.
  • Experience managing and training junior team members.
  • Need to have a welcoming demeanor and the flexibility to navigate in a fast-paced environment and to calmly respond to short-notice requests and juggle numerous demands concurrently.
  • Exceptional organizational and scheduling skills in managing the details, prioritizing team workloads and logistics for 10-15+ projects/initiatives per month in various stages of production, ensuring high quality and productivity while meeting partner needs.
  • Decisive communicator with the ability to think creatively regarding shoot set-sups thematic story lines and final creative deliverables.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to streamline and improve workflow processes and procedures.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Confident problem-solver, able to anticipate possible roadblocks and recommend viable solutions.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$150,000—$191,500 USD
