We are looking for someone to join our finance team as Senior Project Accountant. The role will be key in driving excellence in our accounting and payables teams. As Senior Project Accountant, you will be crucial for the smooth running of the finance function. You will oversee the procure to pay processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting. The other key pillar of the role is analysis and execution of accounting projects and process improvements, as well as supporting the accounting team.  Building relationships with stakeholders and adopting an involved approach is necessary to succeed in this role.

You will be based out of our Nordic head office in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen and report to the Head of Finance. HelloFresh Nordics covers Denmark, Sweden and Norway and you will be supporting on projects across all regions.

• Analyze and execute accounting projects and process improvements including system implementation; remote resource allocation; improving process documentation; in-depth review
• Ownership of the procure to pay process in finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness of posting.
• Identify inefficiencies with AP processes and deliver solutions with finance analyst
• Assistance with management of 4/5 people across AP and controlling (some offshore).
• Lead broader finance projects e.g. cash flow modeling, capital allocation on Capex, accounting automation.
• Build strong relationships with department leads across logistics, product and production.
• Prepare, review and approve relevant balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and post month-end journals as needed & support the month-end accounting process. 
• Preparation and expansion of monthly reports to management, including KPI follow-ups
• Preparation of audit deliverables and liaison with auditors
• Ad-hoc reporting as required

• Qualified Accountant with strong  working knowledge of accounting concepts and standards
• Strong process construction, redesign, and optimisation skills, as well as being able to demonstrate examples of implementation and impact
• Excellent attention to detail, delivering high-quality work with minimal errors.
• Experience or strong working knowledge of the procure to pay process. 
• Financial modeling experience is a plus
• Ability to build trust and good relationships in a climate of open and direct communication
• Ability to teach, train and coach non-financial staff in financial concepts.
