Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

What you’ll do 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a Berlin-based international team focused on improving the performance, features, and design of an exciting product for healthcare professionals. You will join CAPY in the the Clinical & Financial domain, working on features helping to share the non-medical prescriptions with patients in France, and "soon to be released" in Germany. Thanks to this, we help healthcare professionals save time, be more productive, and feel in control of their workload and activities by automating tasks as much as possible while providing clear and accessible information regarding their patients.In this role, we are looking for Fullstack software engineers who will be more focused on backend projects.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Improving the performance of key features implemented in Ruby on Rails and JVM stack along with React;
  • Help us with your experience in service-oriented architecture during our re architecture;
  • Thinking user first and help improve our user experience through new features and design updates while maintaining high code quality standards;
  • Taking leadership on delivering roadmap items (together with the team);
  • Helping keep our bug backlog small;
  • Contributing to establishing a technical vision and co-drive the creation of the roadmap for the next quarters;
  • Bringing your expertise and past experiences to help us continuously improve the way we work.
Who you are

  • You have +5 years of software engineering experience;
  • You are primarily a backend engineer with expert knowledge of Java and interested in Ruby on Rails (or vice-versa)
  • You have a solid understanding of web technologies like React and software development life cycle.
  • You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn;
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code;
  • You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture;
  • You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring;
  • You are fluent in English. German fluency is a plus.
