In this role, you will build and enhance in-house solutions to automate the deployment of Okta Workflows connectors. These connectors encapsulate automation pipelines for identity management which are used by thousands of customers. This team is chartered to understand the pain points in the existing operational processes carried out by the analysts, and provide tooling and automation solutions to ensure that analysts at Okta are enabled to deliver products at high velocity and scale without compromising on the quality and operational standards. In this team you will have the opportunity to define and mold the future of Workflows Connector development and operations infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation tools that enable faster automated deployments for new connectors
  • Work with Okta’s integration analysts, architects, and product owners to understand pain points in existing DevOps operational processes. Then design, spec, build, and test streamlined automated solutions for repetitive tasks and workflows.
  • Own your code at all stages of the lifecycle - design, implementation, test automation, delivery, and monitoring - to provide high-quality products with zero downtime for internal users
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also working down our existing technical debt 
  • Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and other continuous improvement activities
  • Collaborate with QA, Technical Support, Documentation teams
Experience: 
  • 3+ years of experience building, launching, and maintaining complex systems
  • Proven experience in Python and/or similar languages, and passionate about building diverse, robust tooling
  • Deep understanding of server side technologies
  • Experience in building tools leveraged by other developers
  • Experience working with cloud systems at scale.
  • Excellent grasp of software development and testing principles.
Nice to Haves:
  • Knowledge in PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Javascript, NodeJS and related technologies
  • Knowledge in Docker & Kubernetes
Education and Training:
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant industry experience
