About the Team

You will be working with a dynamic team of engineers.  Working together  on cutting edge technologies and pushing the envelope. Crunchyroll is an international business focused on creating online and offline experiences for fans through content (licensed, co-produced, originals, distribution), merchandise, events, gaming, news, and more. Visit our About Us pages for more information about our collection of brands.  We are a collaborative  team of professionals with many years of experience and wisdom from all across the globe from the US, Japan, Moldovia, Paris, Germany, India, and more.  Everyone feels they are part of the same team and are ready to help whenever and wherever needed. This role is hybrid in our Dallas office and will report into our Director of IT.

About you
  • You have B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • You have 10+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including:  firewalls, routers, switches, WAP, controllers, SANs, VMWare, and monitoring applications.
  • You have intermediate to expert understanding of firewall configuration and maintenance, experience Fortigate/Palo Alto is preferred
  • You are proficient with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting
    • Networking equipment
    • Wireless (Wi-Fi)
    • Computers, Servers, and peripherals
  • You create detailed documentation and networking designs.
    • Understand and diagram existing network and server farms
    • Diagram, explain, and plan for future upgrades
    • Experience deploying and/or maintaining an enterprise campus network
  • You are an expert with VLANs and working within industry best practices
  • You are knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances
  • You have experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, etc.)
  • You see out opportunities to mentor junior staff members and interns
  • You have experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
  • You have VMWare Enterprise administration experience
  • You quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online sources
  • You have strong oral and written communications
  • You place a high priority on Customer Service and people skills
  • You work well in a team environment

Pluses

  • You are proficient with JAMF and InTune
  • You have experience in Okta workflows and integrations 
  • You have Fortigate/Palo Alto firewall experience
  • You have PCI compliance experience.

A Day in the Life

  • You have experience with install, support, and maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls.
  • You are accountable for and perform network security integration and maintenance.
  • You diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints.
  • You provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration
  • You aAssist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices.
  • You provide detailed and up to date network documentation.
  • You manage and maintain Google Workspace applications.
  • You demonstrate a working knowledge of Dell Servers, SAN, and networking solutions
  • You demonstrate experience in Microsoft AD, Azure, and Cloud based services.
  • You perform other tasks as requested by the Director of IT
  • Staying up to date on technology trends and best practices
  • Supporting our team and improving internal processes
  • Creating reports and documentation to support the security program
