Your role and your team:

 

The Senior Technical Author will be part of Systems Engineering Department and will report to the Engineering Manager – Technical Publications and work closely with several cross-functional teams including Chief Engineering, Airworthiness, Design, Flight Test, Maintainability and Maintenance team. As a fully integrated member of the team, you will support creation and revision of technical publications process and operations and maintenance manuals that will support the operation and maintenance of Lilium Jets in the future.

The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver.

 

Your Day to Day:

 

  • Creation and revision of all technical manuals, which includes Authoring and Illustrations together.
  • Plan, schedule, develop, and maintain aircraft operations manuals i.e AFM, FCOM, QRH.
  • Plan, schedule, develop, and maintain aircraft manuals i.e CMM, AMM, SRM, and IPC.
  • Creation and revision of the Service Bulletins (SB) and Service News Letters (SNL)
  • Work with illustrators to provide illustration request to match the procedural steps of the manuals.
  • Review and edit the documents produced by peer authors and engineers, with respect to content organization, style, audience, and consistency of format in line with publication standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant technical instructions are captured, articulated, and published to support effective and safe operations in the field.
  • Analyze and prioritize the technical feedback provided by reviewers and implement the changes to the documentation
  • Evaluate the new tools used for the technical publication to keep up with the market trend
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships/partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners, fostering collaborative planning and project execution.

 

 

 

 

Your Profile:

  • You have a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • You have knowledge of the ASD S1000D, S2300M guidelines and iSpec 2200
  • You are experienced in with SGML/XML, ISODRAW
  • You have a good level of understanding of airworthiness standards and legislation (EASA Part 21, Part M and Part 145 and related FAA regulations), and Aircraft Maintenance Programs is advantageous.
  • Experience in the field of aircraft maintenance, design or operations is advantageous.
  • You have very good written and spoken English skills.
  • You are a highly energetic and results-driven individual, with strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
