As Fastly’s Senior Workday Systems Analyst, you will serve as the internal Workday functional SME, partnering with the People/HR teams to strategize and execute plans for configuring and extending Workday functionality to support digital transformation and drive new capabilities and data insights. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of new functionality and/or processes within project timelines, as well as the optimization and fine-tuning of existing functionality and processes. You will be relied upon for your deep Workday knowledge to help gather and translate requirements and to design, configure, test and deploy new modules, or improve existing functionality and modules, to support efficiency at scale. This role demands deep knowledge of Workday, functional HR and business process knowledge, experience with enterprise-wide technology implementations, and an ability to drive successful cross-functional collaboration and communication. This is an ideal role for someone who gets inspired by translating requirements into tactical execution, is passionate about thoughtful design and process optimization, and enjoys collaborating with and teaching others.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead People Systems projects with varying levels of complexity, including the annual compensation cycle, semi-annual performance reviews and open enrollment
  • Consultative partner to the COE on opportunities for process improvements, how to better utilize Workday functionality and recommending System solutions that solve business problems
  • Gather and document detailed business requirements from the end users
  • Manage testing by working with cross-functional teams to identify test scenarios/use cases, help develop test scripts and execute UAT with the various teams
  • Manage EIBs and support data uploads for monthly and ad-hoc requests
  • Create, maintain and support Workday reports and dashboards
  • Communicate and train end users on necessary functionality, provide Workday support to end-users regarding system usage and functionality, and escalate issues as needed
  • Support SOX compliance efforts

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of Workday experience is required
  • Deep Workday configuration experience in three of the following areas - Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, Recruiting, Talent management, Time Off, Time Tracking and Payroll
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to shift directions quickly when priorities change
  • Ability to think through problems and deliver quality solutions against very tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously
  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical and have a system thinking approach to problem-solving, deep understanding how things affect one another in an overall system
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and comfort communicating to larger audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently; solutions-oriented; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Successful track record of building strong relationships with HR leadership and other key stakeholders
  • The ability to go into one of our Fastly offices approximately 2 days/week

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

  • Created and support Workday Integrations including Studio, Core Connectors such Worker and Benefits, PECI and WECI
  • Implemented Workday Prism and has expertise in how to stand up Prism Datasets
  • Has created custom applications using Workday Extend

Work Hours:

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

This position is open to the following preferred office locations (this will be a hybrid role in the office approximately 2 days/week):

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $119,880 to $166,500.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
