Wayfair is looking for an analytical in-house SEO Analyst to join our European SEO team and help drive execution and analysis for our organic optimisation efforts. We seek a technically-focused SEO analyst ready to advance their career by tackling challenges on a vast ecommerce platform, driving significant online growth and visibility in a rapidly changing landscape. This position is ideal for those eager to elevate their skills on a large-scale project.

As a member of Wayfair’s marketing team, you will work on a wide variety of aspects of site optimisation, from large automated technical projects to content production and refinement. This is a diverse role with the ability to grow in whichever direction your primary strengths—and interests—lie.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and implement both DE and global SEO optimisations to enhance online visibility and search rankings. Make sure technical SEO standards are met.
  • Perform comprehensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and market studies to spot opportunities and trends.
  • Support on content development and upkeep, including innovative projects using Natural Language Generation/generative AI.
  • Assess website performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential growth.
  • Work closely with product managers, category managers, content creators and other marketing channels to refine on-page elements and develop an optimised platform.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, changes in search engine algorithms, and SEO best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree qualified or higher.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in German and strong proficiency in English are requirements for this role.
  • Experience with larger .de ecommerce websites. Specific experience working on global projects with multiple domains are a plus.
  • A proven track record in driving results.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant SEO concepts and a viewpoint on how you believe the organic search landscape will evolve in future.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS, basic JS knowledge. Advanced knowledge of JS and experience with detailed code analysis is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity/working experience with popular website analytics applications and industry standard tools such as Searchmetrics, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Search Console etc.
  • Good Excel skills. Data manipulation skills such as SQL are highly beneficial.
