We are looking for a software engineer with expertise in machine learning for autonomous systems. Your contributions will focus on building out key capabilities of tools for the analysis and augmentation of data from autonomous systems. You will also drive the design and development of computer vision and machine learning techniques to enrich Applied’s simulation tools.

• Design and implement machine learning capabilities and workflows for analysis and augmentation of real-world data
• Work closely with our perception simulation team to ensure we generate realistic synthetic datasets
• Work closely with our infrastructure team to provide the best enterprise software for engineering, testing, and customer product teams

• 3+ years of experience building software components or (sub) systems that address real-world machine learning challenges
• A passion for turning their domain expertise into tooling that boosts the productivity of teams working on various real-world applications of autonomous systems
• Hands-on experience with more than one domain relevant software frameworks or tools, such as middleware, benchmarking suites, data sets and related pipelines, or common AI libraries
• Deep understanding of machine learning foundations who can apply various techniques to new problems
• Experience working with production level ML and DL perception algorithms

• MSc or PhD in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence or closely related field
• Deep hands-on expertise in relevant algorithms or methods, such as non-linear optimization, deep learning, generative modeling, distributed systems
• Experience building and shipping software frameworks or tools
