We are looking for a talented Software Engineer IIto join our development team in Chicago. This team manages vast amounts of marketing data, and builds marketing intelligence tools for our clients to make sense of it.

On the backend, we use distributed containerized microservices architecture running on AWS with services like ECS, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, etc. Besides AWS services, we also heavily use tools like Airflow, Snowflake, and Grafana.

On the front end, we use React and TypeScript with DRF, and test using Playwright. We use a shared component library across Mintel, and our apps are part of a micro-frontend architecture.

This individual will ideally have 3+ years of professional experience working in Python, and be very comfortable with CI/CD platforms such as Gitlab CI.  

This is a Hybrid position based in Chicago.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Working with an agile team that makes frequent releases.
  • We embrace DevOps culture on the team, so you’ll be responsible for helping the team deploy, monitor, and maintain the system.
  • Develop features or solve technical problems as an individual contributor or pairing within the team. Collaborating with Engineers and Architects from other teams is also important from time to time.
  • Make your voice heard when we’re discussing implementation trade-offs within the team or technical solution possibilities with our stakeholders.

  • A self-directed, fast learner who can quickly pick up domain knowledge and effectively up-skill on technology topics where required.
