Your mission

Project OverviewThe Move product, at the heart of our project, is a Linux-based device equipped with an NXP S32G2. It is designed for efficient switching between Terrestrial Network (TN) and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). The device boasts an impressive array of features and comprehensive connectivity options (5G/LTE, WiFi, GPS + GLONASS, etc.), and is geared towards vehicle applications. It is also an edge compute device with a quad-core ARM-based chip architecture, On Board Diagnostic (OBD) and Control Area Network (CAN) interfaces for vehicle integration, a 6-axis IMU sensorThis internship will focus on leveraging the Move product's advanced hardware and software capabilities to develop superior network-switching algorithms and embedded and cloud connected software solutions that take advantage of its edge compute and vehicle integration capabilitiesKey Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Engage in Move product software development for the networked edge device, emphasizing the optimization of network switching and performance as well as other data capture and streaming capabilities.
  • Linux System Proficiency: Utilize in-depth knowledge of Linux systems to develop and enhance software solutions, ensuring seamless operation and integration with the device's hardware.
  • Algorithm Design and Simulation: Craft and refine algorithms specific to the hardware capabilities of the Move product, focusing on network efficiency, availability and reliability. Design and build software capable of data capture and processing at the edge and streaming to the cloud via modern data streaming or IoT architectures.
  • Network Knowledge Application: Apply knowledge of networks to innovate and improve software development processes and outcomes, particularly in areas related to connectivity and data transmission as well as data capture and streaming to the cloud.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work within a team of experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, offering fresh insights and demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
