Gravity R&D (or shortly Gravity) was recently acquired by Taboola, the leading content discovery platform of the open web. Our office in Budapest, Hungary becomes Taboola’s R&D hub in Central Europe. We have now 3 types of positions for talented interns:

1. SOFTWARE DEVELOPER INTERN

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Developing recommendation systems
• Developing internal and external dashboards
• Developing a system to facilitate customer integration processes
• Developing a monitoring system
• Developing other smaller or larger projects independently or in a team
• Fully testing, documenting, and maintaining the above-mentioned products

Our Tech Stack:

Java, Spring, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, Vertica, MySQL, HDFS, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Linux, React

What are the skills a good Integration Engineer Intern needs to have? 

• Knowledge of Java or Python
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Technical level of English language proficiency
• Reliable, open, flexible, and proactive personality
• Desire to learn and develop professionally

Nice to haves include:

• Interest in artificial intelligence and recommendation systems
• Hardcore table football, ping pong, and/or darts skills

2. DATA ANALYST INTERN

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Analyzing customer data
• Fine-tuning and optimizing recommendation systems
• Fine-tuning and testing algorithms
• Presenting results of analysis, preparing reports
• Textual documents
• Different ways of displaying data on graphs

Java, Python, Cassandra, MySQL, Redash

What are the skills a good Data Analyst Intern needs to have? 

• Mathematical foundations (especially matrix algebra and probability theory) and algorithm theory
• Knowledge of data mining and machine learning
• Basic knowledge of Java and/or Python
• SQL knowledge
• Intermediate English language skills
• Independent, creative, accurate, precise and focused work

Nice to haves include:

• Knowledge of scalable algorithms
• Knowledge of Jupyter Notebook
• Interest in artificial intelligence and neural networks
• Knowledge of recommendation systems
• Hardcore foosball, ping pong and/or darts skills

3. FRONT-END DEVELOPER INTERN

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Developing web applications:
• Integrating 3rd-party applications (e.g. payment solutions)
• Developing the appearance of internal and external dashboards
• Working on various projects either independently or as part of a team
• Fully testing, documenting and maintaining the above-mentioned products

Our Tech Stack:

Javascript, C#, React, Vue, Java, Python, Spring, Spark, Kafka

What are the skills a good Frontend Developer Intern needs to have? 

• Knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Communicative level of English
• Reliable, open-minded, flexible, and proactive personality
• Willingness to learn

Nice to haves include:

• Knowledge of Java or Python
• Experience with Angular/React
• Knowledge of Vue3
• Experience in web development
• Interest in UI design
• Bonus points for:
• Interest in artificial intelligence and recommendation systems
• Hardcore table football, ping pong, and/or darts skills
