As a Solutions Architect, you will play a vital role in helping customers overcome complex data challenges. Leveraging your technical expertise and pre-sales acumen, you will demonstrate how the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform can transform their business. You’ll join a collaborative, innovative team, working with Retail & Consumer Goods customers to craft tailored solutions that drive real results and long-term success.

The impact you will have: 

  • Customer Engagement: Partner with Retail & Consumer Goods clients to understand their unique challenges, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Pre-Sales Excellence: Lead technical discussions, deliver compelling demonstrations, and contribute to RFPs, proofs-of-concept, and workshops in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide customers and internal teams in architecting with a focus on Data and AI solutions. 
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the Retail & Consumer Goods sector to address specific business needs and unlock new opportunities.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to best practices, author reference architectures, and build community through events like workshops, meet-ups, and seminars.
  • Growth Mindset: Collaborate with a motivated team while advancing your career on a technical or managerial path, supported by extensive learning and development opportunities.

What we look for:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing pre-sales or technical consulting role.
  • Strong technical expertise in Data Warehousing and/or Big Data Engineering, and related tools (e.g., Spark, Python, SQL) are beneficial.
  • Ideally knowledge of the Retail & Consumer Goods vertical and its unique challenges.
  • High level of ownership, leadership, and a proactive mindset in solving customer challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of addressing technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Fluency in German is nice to have.
