Position Summary

The Sourcing Coordinator ensures that jobs offered to our partner network are accepted quickly and placed at the best possible cost. This role combines strong negotiation, supplier management, and technical understanding (preferably in molding processes).

Responsibilities

• Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers.

• Recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.

• Monitor the job board and track offer statuses and feedback.

• Update job offer tracking reports with partner prices and lead times.

• Coordinate DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback between suppliers and engineers.

• Work with Operations and Sales Management on daily sourcing decisions.

• Follow up with post-processing shops, vendors, and carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Provide timely sourcing updates and escalate issues as needed.

• Ensure compliance with Xometry’s quality and safety policies.

Requirements

• Fluency in Mandarin (native/near-native level) – mandatory.

• Solid understanding of purchasing and procurement processes.

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Analytical and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks independently.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web-based tools.

• Willingness to work evening hours in China Standard Time.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

• Knowledge/experience with molding processes (injection molding, die casting, stamping).

• Strong engineering background with ability to learn molding/manufacturing quickly.

• Familiarity with machined parts/machining is a plus.
