SR. EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, LIVE EVENTS AND LONG-FORM

SpaceX is seeking a talented, self-driven individual for a position as Sr. Executive Producer, Live Events and Long-Form.

As a key member of the team, the Sr. Executive Producer, Live Events and Long-Form will be a visual storyteller and will take charge of the management of creative live and related digital projects as well as oversee all documentary and other long-format filming projects. This role will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives and be responsible for the development and implementation of live and long-form content strategies that get the public excited about space exploration.

Driving processes end-to-end, the Sr. Executive Producer, Live Events and Long Form will help identify the best creative opportunities, communicate clear plans and strategies for executing projects on time, as well as simplify processes to help the team be more productive.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee activities of all launch webcasts and related livestreams, including content creation, liaising with customers, and all production coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement content strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives for various platforms and projects, including live events, webcasts, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Oversee all documentary and other long format filming requests including approvals, scheduling, interview prep, shooting and reviews, as well as providing direction to external film crews to ensure content aligns with SpaceX’s brand guidelines, messaging, and overall objectives.
  • Actively monitor and track significant milestones for the company and put plans in place to create supporting content.
  • Collaborate with content producers and designers to develop key imagery and visuals around company achievements, milestones, and goals to ensure the most innovative and effective creative is produced.
  • Monitor the performance metrics of webcasts and related content, to improve content development strategies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to webcast hosts and manage auditions as necessary.
  • Act as producer and show caller for webcasts, serving as central point of communication for talent and crew during broadcast.
  • Collaborate with leadership from various departments on the appropriate NDA/Location Agreements and tracking for onsite filming.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years’ experience as a producer of live events.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • 10+ years of experience in live events or producer of digital, interactive or short-form content.
  • Strong understanding of photo and video production, digital creative and best practices.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate complex topics, impeccable writing skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented team environment.
  • Possess a proven ability to thrive under deadline pressure and to execute on a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Prior hands-on experience with filming or editing.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time in support of events and launches
  • This position will work out of our Hawthorne, CA office.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range: 

Sr. Executive Producer: $150,000.00 - $205,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
