We're looking for an experienced learning professional as a Sr. Instructional Designer who is customer-obsessed and driven to innovate as we build and transform how we make content and education available to employees, customers, and partners. The right candidate will help design, develop, and scale global education and enablement programs along with establishing and driving world-class content and learning experiences. You will be strategic, creative, not afraid to roll-up sleeves, and have demonstrated drive to solve real customer problems and revolutionize learning experiences. This role will report into the Performance, Education, and Knowledge (PEAK) Team as part of the global Customer Experience organization comprising Technical Services, Professional Services, PEAK, Portfolio, and Customer Success.- Partner with functional stakeholders in a consultative manner to continuously align learning solutions with development needs.
- Drive business results through collaboration, using inquiry over advocacy, and joins with other leaders to positively impact our business for the benefit of our customers.
- Translate business needs into training curriculum and enablement content in support of the field and their requirements for success. Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop this content through expert instructional design practices, latest technology, and adult learning concepts.
- Act as a content program lead for one or multiple programs exhibiting extreme ownership.
- Design and develop learning solutions and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner (includes online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates to drive consistency.
- Leverage rapid, agile development techniques and processes to create content for a rapidly changing environment. Lead process improvement efforts.
- Develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies, and multimedia based assets.
- Lead needs analyses and learning strategy development activities to improve individual and organizational performance through learning.
- Lead and review job, task, and competency analyses to identify curriculum development or performance enhancement activities.
- Prioritize, plan, lead and develop all curriculum development programs and projects.
- Encourage and ensure balance of smart-risk taking vs. maintaining status quo.
- Track and analyze curriculum effectiveness of training programs and conducts follow-up of programs to ensure applicability of course materials
- Minimum 5 years working in an instructional designer role
- Previous experience working in a technical support organization is a strong plus
- Expert using ID-specific authoring tools (Camtasia, Articulate Storyline/Rise, etc.)
- Experienced using video editing tools (Final Cut, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar)
- Experience with general principles of graphic design including brand application and understanding of vector graphics (Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Experience with learning management systems to publish and manage content
- Experience working with and integrating the use of knowledge bases and online reference for learning and performance support.
- Strong program management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes skill in collaborating with subject matter experts and managers to help write, design, and develop, and manage projects.
- Experience leading projects for an entire group or department, or a major piece of a larger cross-company product or project.
- Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance.
- Experience in instructional systems design, criterion-referenced instruction, performance-based delivery, and developing, leading and implementing design projects.
- Skilled in the creation, implementation and validation of assessments to measure the effectiveness of training to achieve business priorities and significantly impact results.
- Significant experience in courseware development of a complex nature, demonstrating agility, speed, and efficiency of advanced instructional design, in a highly changing environment.
- Experience with, and current understanding of instructional design innovation and technology.
- Experience leading end-to-end, instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) to create complex learning paths whether technical or non-technical
- Work sample required for consideration
You will be based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: $95,000.00 - $143,00.00
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
