Pinterest is one of the fastest growing online advertising platforms and our continued success depends on rapidly scaling our core revenue-generating systems. Specifically, we need 10X the scale of our ad delivery platforms, while enabling developers inside Pinterest and external advertisers/merchants to build and iterate rapidly on new features. You’ll lead a team that is responsible for building the next-generation ads serving infra to empower Pinterest ads business, because every dollar Pinterest earns flows through these systems. You will work closely with ads quality and product stakeholders to enable innovations of Pinterest ads delivery products at scale.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage managers and ICs.
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders across the organization to architect ads serving systems to unlock Pinterest ads product innovations.
  • Grow a fast growing engineering organization with managers and senior ICs, setting the technical vision, guiding the day-to-day execution, as well as fostering good team health and culture.
  • Lead the team to build the next-generation Pinterest next-gen blender infrastructure for the whole page optimizations

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of management experience, with experience managing managers.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in highly performant online systems, online recommendation systems or ads serving infrastructure. 
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator and communicator.
  • Proven experience building solutions at scale in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated people leadership with a focus on team development and skills progression.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 time per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco or Palo Alto.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
