About this team and role:

The Mozilla People team is looking for a strategic Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner (PBP). This is an exciting opportunity to partner with the Design, Engineering, and Product leaders of Firefox, Mozilla’s signature privacy-minded web browser.

In this role you will develop a deep understanding of Mozilla’s mission, business, and products and partner with senior leaders on supporting people strategies. You will draw from your experience in organizational effectiveness, talent management, and leadership coaching to advise leaders and drive talent outcomes. 

The ideal candidate has experience working with technology teams in a dynamic, global organization and is a creative problem solver who can thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture.

What you’ll do: 

  • Establish relationships with senior leaders and their teams to be recognized as a trusted advisor and talent expert
  • Partner closely with business leaders to advise on people strategy and decisions, including talent management, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, organizational design, and change management.
  • Serve as a thought partner and coach for leaders to grow their leadership capability. Enable strong leadership teams, and as a result high-performing organizations supporting Mozilla’s mission.
  • Partner closely with colleagues in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Inclusion & Diversity, Total Rewards, and broader People Business Partnership teams. 
  • Deliver scalable, customer-centric people programs that drive talent outcomes (e.g. DEI programs, performance management, talent development, culture transformation initiatives, job architecture, etc.)
  • Work with legal counsel to address complex employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict mediation as needed
  • Collaborate with the People Science team to uncover insights and support leaders in making data informed decisions and improvement in key people metrics and outcomes.

What you’ll bring: 

  • 8+ years of dynamic experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years as an HR business partner working with senior executives, preferably in engineering, product, or other technology functions
  • Experience working with global teams operating in multiple countries, preferred if that includes experience partnering with teams across Canada, the United States, and Western Europe
  • Effective influence, communication, and interpersonal skills; great listener and able to influence without authority
  • Exceptional consulting, coaching and facilitation skills; balancing inquiry, facilitation, and strong recommendations when needed
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Ability to flex between being strategic, analytical, and execution focused to drive solutions forward
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently
  • A solutions focused thinker, with the ability to see possibilities from constraints
  • Analytically driven; fluent with data-driven analysis and influencing through data
