Our Opportunity:

Chewy, the fastest growing online pet pharmacy is seeking a full-time Sr Pharmacy Compliance Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. The Sr Pharmacy Compliance Manager is responsible for reviewing and communicating all aspects of existing and newly enacted federal and state rules and regulations and pharmacy accreditation standards relative to the practice of pharmacy. Collaborates with the Associate Director, other managers, supervisors, pharmacists, and technician leadership who are responsible and accountable for decisions affecting successful accreditation and compliance with enacted federal and state rules and regulations. Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to applicable pharmacy accreditation standards and compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.

What you'll do:

  • Attend local board of pharmacy and other government meetings.
  • Build professional relationships on behalf of Chewy healthcare facilities.
  • Assist in the creation, development and implementation of pharmacy operations compliance training.
  • Responsible for regular compliance audits and inspections of healthcare facilities, including the creation and management of corrective action plans.
  • Involved with the development and review of SOPs/P&Ps (including related training) with a focus on site-level differences.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy site leadership and Associate Director of Healthcare Compliance to identify and initiate improvements to ensure compliance with existing and evolving accreditation standards and federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Maintain subject matter knowledge and expertise and enhance knowledge of the above standards, rules, and regulations that relate to pharmacy.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of additions and changes to standards, rules, and regulations that relate to pharmacy services, their interpretation, current trends and issues.
  • Complete gap analyses for compliance.

What you'll need:

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience
  • Maintain current unrestricted pharmacist licensure within the state.
  • Extensive knowledge and work experience with computerized pharmacy information and dispensing systems, operations, and pharmacy services.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis reports and corrective action plans.
  • Travel Requirement: Some travel to alternate sites and industry meetings may be required.
