About the role

As a Partner Engineer, you'll lead deployments, optimize implementations, and handle integrations to build successful, long-term partnerships. You will own technical engagements and be the key driver in finding creative/innovative solutions that lead Crunchyroll's experiences to the next level.

You will have the opportunity to lead projects that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing. You'll play a key role in improving existing operations, defining and commercialising new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. You will lead and develop prototypes and an MVP for testing and deployment of new systems

As the Staff Partner Engineer, you will report to the Senior Manager of Partner Engineering. This is not a remote role, and we are considering applicants only in the Hyderabad metropolitan area.

About You

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

  • You have 12+ years of experience in building complex systems in collaboration with partners

  • You have experience with serverless frameworks using AWS Lambda, Node/TS, DynamoDB, etc.

  • You have experience with Client/Server and scalable technologies

  • You have an ability to speak to both business and technical stakeholders

  • You have previous exposure with integrating payment systems

  • You have platform experience with AndroidTV, AppleTV, ChromeOS, or WebOS (a plus)

  • You have experience working with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and pay TV Operators (a plus)

About the Team

The Ecosystem Engineering team at Crunchyroll plays a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding our users' experiences. We collaborate extensively with a diverse network of partners to integrate, test, deploy, and improve the Crunchyroll streaming application, content discovery APIs, and billing integration APIs over the entire device lifecycle using Crunchyroll tools and data. Our primary objective is to drive growth, open new acquisition channels, and optimize our services' scope and quality. Situated at the crossroads of technology and business, we are dedicated to continually enabling experiences that delight anime fans across the globe.
