The role

The Strategic Planning & Analysis team supports Management in making key strategic decisions through modelling GoCardless’ long term business plan, as well as things like investment cases and unit economics. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance & Projects, you will also be involved in a number of projects including corporate finance activities.

What excites you 

  • Modelling complex scenarios and unit economics to enable key strategic decisions of the business
  • Drawing insights from financial models and being excited to present the ‘so what’ to a range of stakeholders
  • Opportunity to work on projects such as corporate finance activities and acquisition integrations
  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders to develop a variety of investment cases, including ROI decisions on new product investment

What excites us  

  • Min 3 years experience in a strategic finance related role e.g. investment banking, another fintech, accountancy firm
  • Experience in financial modelling, with confidence applying this to complex scenarios and the ability to draw insightful conclusions from the output
  • Clear and confident communicator, with the ability to manage a wide variety of stakeholders including C-Suite
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, with a pragmatic and commercial mindset
  • Strong motivation with the ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines
  • Accounting / Finance qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential

Salary range: £85,600 - £128,400

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
