This is a hands-on role with the unique opportunity to help further the Databricks Strategic Sourcing function and grow our procurement impact. You will support the Strategic Sourcing team in all purchasing needs across Databricks departments and partners. You will work with category managers to execute category strategy, review stakeholder requests, negotiate with vendors, redline agreements with legal, and drive cost savings initiatives. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Operations.

The impact you will have:

  • Support stakeholders in moving requests to completed agreements
  • Negotiate with vendors to provide optimal contracts for Databricks
  • Redline contracts with legal to ensure Databricks is protected
  • Support organization initiatives for category plan creation and execution
  • Drive results to organization KPIs
  • Provide cost savings

What we look for:     

  •  2+ years in a Procurement role
  •  Driven person who can work in a team environment and communicate at a high level
  •  Experience training stakeholders on procurement processes
  •  Experience with metrics and reporting
  •  Effective problem solving, planning, and project management skills
  •  Excellent ability to work with suppliers and build strong stakeholder relationships
  •  Ability to work in a fast-growing environment
  •  Process and customer service driven
  •  Experience with procure-to-pay systems (Coupa, Netsuite, Zip, and Ironclad)
