 Your role and your team: 

 You will report directly to the Head of Logistics and work closely together with various interfaces and departments e.g. Engineering and Procurement. This offers a great opportunity to work cross functional and gain valuable insight and a network across the whole company. 

 You will be part of a team that includes Logistics Operators as well as Logistics Planners and support our mission to supply the future of air traffic by providing a reliable, innovative and customer-oriented logistics service along the supply chain. 

 The Supply Logistics and Packaging Manager will be responsible for the supply and sales logistics strategy including packaging, transport, distribution and fleet management in accordance with the programme timeline. 

Your tasks: 

 You will: 

  • Ensure an optimized material supply (JIS, JIT, material kits, etc.) on a plan for every part approach by considering logistics, procurement and production constrains e.g. storage capacity, minimum order quantity and lead time 
  • Be responsible for the creation of packaging concepts and the configuration of new load carriers for all required parts including implementation, monitoring and repair 
  • Collect packaging requirements from all stakeholders and define decision-making criteria 
  • Research and simulate packaging solutions using specific software tools e.g. PackAssistant 
  • Define and implement a concept for digital container management to enable a on schedule and cost-efficient container flow within the material supply 
  • Set the implementation plan including capacity evaluation and organize required support (internal / external) 
  • Steer and coordinate external service providers supporting Lilium in packaging planning and design or other supply logistics activities 
  • Represent logistics requirements in supplier negotiations, ensure a standardized framework and support procurement in supplier assessments and selection 
  • Lead or support various projects and improvement initiatives 
  • Solve ad hoc supply chain related issues and drive sustainable problem solving 
  • Support Logistics operations when required 
Your profile: 

Business Experience / Skills  

  • Successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, logistics or a similar field of study 
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in supply logistics and packaging planning within automotive or aviation industry 
  • Proven record of successful development and deployment of logistics concepts in a green field environment 
  • Profound knowledge of modern methods of container construction and state of the art packaging technology 
  • Solid experience in project management 
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments and projects 
  • High intercultural competencies as well as conceptional, analytical and communication skills 
  • Willingness to take ownership and to transfer improvement ideas into reality  
  • Team player with analytic problem-solving skills and a high customer focus

  • Experience with packaging software e.g. PackAssistant 

 Language Skills  

  • English minimum C1, additional languages are beneficial
