FSQA Manager - Factor Europe

We are seeking a FSQA Manager for our newest brand: Factor, a healthy, ready-to-heat meal delivery service. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic food quality professional to join the team. Working collaboratively with our teams of Operations, Category, Product Management and Customer care, the role will involve taking the lead in our RTE / RTH division, setting up and implementing standards and managing new projects to drive our Food Safety Culture to its highest point.

What you will do:
  • Develop and implement local food safety and quality assurance requirements ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements 
  • Have overall accountability for the design and implementation of food safety and quality assurance requirements for RTE  (Ready-to-Eat)  products
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop our kitchen FSQA team, ensuring we have clear succession plans across different roles 
  • Build and continuously steer a strong culture within the kitchen operations team that balances employee safety, employee engagement, and accountability for high performance 
  • Partner with the Operations team on strategic projects, ensuring  the right food safety, quality and cultural requirements 
  • Create and deploy food safety procedures and training programs on core risks across the system ensuring compliance with Factor and local legislative requirements.
  • Drive food safety culture, developing engagement and understanding of the topic.
  • Support in the rollout of consistent intake food safety and quality checks
  • Understand and partner with relevant stakeholders on systems development to further elevate our quality management and traceability systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate sharing of information and best practice across geographies
  • Monitoring all quality data for trends, themes, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing solutions within the DC and customer delivery segment of the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to deliver on key performance metrics
  • Evaluate key risks and establish proactive methodologies for mitigation
What you will bring:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing/ Assembly/Chemical/Consumer Products (minimum 5+ years’ experience) 
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, German Food Safety Regulations and GFSI schemes
  • Experience in a start-up environment, comfortable with changing priorities, showing entrepreneurial mindset
  • Internal and External Audit experience
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
  • Embraces change, challenge and working in an autonomous way
  • Proficiency in business English and German is mandatory
