About the Role
  • Lead cross-functional projects that solve complex problems and deliver high quality and reliable software to our customers.
  • Design, implement, test, release, and maintain embedded software that can easily be deployed on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and vehicle architectures.
  • Create and contribute to roadmaps, project plans, requirements documents, design documents, test plans, and other documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members through documentation and code reviews, knowledge sharing, being a role model, and improving their technical skills.
  • Identify and execute fundamental code, design, and process improvements, ensuring we are creating best in class code and following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create plans, identify risks, resolve issues, and deliver on schedule.
  • Engage with customers to gather requirements, manage deliverables, provide training, and troubleshoot issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
  • 10+ years of experience developing production-quality embedded software.
  • Proficient in embedded C programming on resource constrained systems
  • Experience developing for Embedded RTOS, Linux/POSIX, and/or Android systems.
  • Experience with IoT technologies and concepts (MQTT, HTTPS, security, OTA software updates, telemetry, etc.)
  • Experience working with modern software development methodologies and tools (Agile, git, unit testing, static analysis, code review, CI, MISRA C/C++, etc.)
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Great team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills in Chinese/English.
  • Experience mentoring team members, performing documentation and code reviews, and advocating for development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Familiar with automotive networking and protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS, SOME/IP, etc.)
  • Experience interfacing with customers and external stakeholders
  • Experience with the following collaboration and development tools: Bazel, PC-Lint, Git, JIRA, Confluence, Google Test)
  • Nice to have experience in working in Software Engineering projects in Auto industry working with Chinese OEMs. 
Work Location / Travel
  • Shanghai based. 
  • Required to travel to other customer locations domestic or international as needed.
