SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

You will own and deliver the Product documentation development and publishing across the Portworx Product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Owning and Standardizing internal and external facing documentation
• Build, lead and develop a strong team of technical writers including Hiring, Mentoring.
• Closely work with cross-functional teams such as Product development, Development, QA, Architects to deliver high quality enterprise documentation.
• Own the documentation processes, priorities and execution plans
• Review and Edit the documentation delivered by technical writing team
• Own end to end delivery of Documentation related projects including tracking and management
• Gain deep expertise on Portworx products and related technologies for delivering user guides, reference architecture documentation, release notes, tutorials and API documentation
• Define the OKRs for Tech writing team, plan development of the team and drive efficiency
• Demonstrate application of highest standards of authoring, review and publishing processes
• Keep updated about the latest technologies in documentation development and recommend application of new technologies to improve documentation quality and productivity
• Make sure product documentation delivery is in line with Product releases

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Best in class verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience in building and managing end user documentation
• English language fluency with business context
• Experience in developing documentation with Markup or other related languages
• Experience in developing technical documentation for enterprise products
• Experience in doc as code
• Experience with source control tools such as github
• Experience of guiding tech writing teams technically
• Experience of managing documentation team, in planning, prioritizing and team management
• Ability to engage proactively with cross functional teams and understand the requirements to develop content
• Review and play editorial role for the content authored by the team
• Self motivated to bring in the initiatives to improve the quality of the Product documentation
• Understanding of Storage technologies, cloud technologies and container products is a plus
• Experience in tools such as Jira and confluence
• You will be based in Bangalore, Karnataka. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
