You will be working with a cross-functional team driving engineering programs in the areas of Ecosystem, Automation, Process Mining and AI. The team is responsible for driving cross-functional programs by closely working together with Engineering, Product, Design, QA (and beyond) to drive execution velocity and help balance, drive, keep control, and track cross-functional programs; streamline cross-team dependencies while making sure that the overall delivery remains smooth and efficient.

You will be reporting to the SVP Engineering of the area. You will be leading a team of 2 people which is likely to grow over time.

The Role

As a TPM lead, you’ll be responsible for successfully leading strategic technical and complex programs within the area in collaboration with engineering and product teams, either directly or by assigning TPMs from your team.

TPM leads ensure that all TPMs in their team have a manageable level of technical complexity and that it works collaboratively with adjacent teams, especially Engineering, Product, Design and QA.

TPM leads work largely independently on defining the scope and impact of their team, and their leadership influence should be evident across multiple groups in addition to their own. When working closely with related teams, they should help support the team health and objectives of those related teams as well as their own.

The work you’ll do
  • Lead your TPM team to successfully deliver their mission: Successfully lead strategic technical and complex programs within the area in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
  • Manage the performance and support the career development of senior members.
  • Actively fostering successful group dynamics to help the team accomplish their mission. 
  • Promote best practices within the TPM team and area and across them to maximize their impact and excellence, directly or via team members.
  • You are responsible for assigning the right TPM of your team to strategic projects and in some cases, you might decide or be asked by upper management to work with them directly.

  • Build and maintain an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the team as well as the department
  • Take an active part in hiring and grow the team according to business needs
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering leads and other leads on goals and strategies around people, technology, and processes
  • Advocate for the (whole) team; provide upward and outward visibility of the team and their work.
The Qualifications you need
  • Previous experience in a Technical Program management or technical leadership position
  • Strong technical knowledge (usually 5+ years of experience in software engineering is expected)
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience & skillset
  • Knowledge of Agile concepts (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Delivery)
  • Ability to lead and make decisions to define the road ahead
  • You can clearly & accurately communicate (English is a must!) program status, issues, dependencies & risks to leadership & other program stakeholders beyond Product & Engineering
  • Experience facilitating decision-making by identifying key stakeholders & surfacing the required information to make critical decisions
  • You have excellent problem-solving ability & value teamwork
  • You can find practical & simple solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are self-sufficient & able to operate in a fluid, ambiguous environment
  • You are a proactive person who feels comfortable working with very low supervision and guidance
