The UX team are the DNA that exists to connect our customers, business and brand. We play a pivotal role in helping and supporting our customers on our Zero Carbon journey by crafting experiences that power the movement today and lead the path to the future. 

This role in a nutshell:

We are seeking a Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and storytelling of our brand, responsible for creating motion graphics that inspire, educate, and drive action, empowering customers to take control of their home energy and reduce their carbon footprint.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Visually Stunning Design: Produce exceptional motion graphics that elevate our brand and captivate our audience. Your work will showcase a mastery of design principles, animation techniques, and storytelling, with a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles for motion design.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all motion graphics adhere to our brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all platforms and devices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing, Brand, and Product teams, as well as engineers, to understand project goals and translate them into visually compelling and technically feasible motion graphics.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro, as well as emerging tools like Blender, Unreal Engine, and real-time rendering engines.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Approach challenges with a creative and innovative mindset, finding unique solutions that push the boundaries of motion graphics design, including exploring new technologies and workflows.
  • Performance Optimisation: Utilise techniques and tools to optimise motion graphics for various delivery platforms, minimising file sizes and load times without compromising visual quality. This includes knowledge of video codecs, image optimisation, and efficient rendering workflows.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work while effectively communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in motion graphics design, incorporating new ideas and approaches into your work. This includes researching and experimenting with emerging technologies such as AR/VR, interactive motion graphics, and AI-powered design tools.
