UX Specialist
- The Digital Marketing team–part of the greater Brand & Digital Marketing Team– at Collibra creates and supports key digital experiences for our customers on our public-facing corporate website (Collibra.com) and our auxiliary company websites. This team translates many of the company’s core business objectives into well executed digital interactions that drive marketing qualified leads (MQLs), pipeline and insight-driven business decisions. We strive to operate as an agile center of excellence, collaborating across many departments within the organization to deliver fast and high-impact solutions.
- The Digital Marketing team is looking for a User Experience (UX) Specialist to design and enhance the overall user experience of Collibra.com and its auxiliary web properties with a focus on understanding user needs, conducting research and creating intuitive and user interfaces and digital experiences.
- In this essential role, you will report to Collibra’s Senior Manager of Web Development and work closely with our web designer, front and back-end developers, as well as our web production and digital operations team. You will partner with marketing stakeholders (such as Product and Growth Marketing teams) to understand business requirements as they relate to the digital promotion of Collibra products and services in order to successfully design UX strategies.
- Researching, prototyping, testing and delivering intuitive interactive elements and user interfaces that align to our design system and enhance the overall user experience of Collibra.com
- Building wireframes, persona-based user flows, problem-statements and key documentation that ensure easy navigation and information findability
- Devising thoughtful A/B testing, facilitating working-sessions, and building analysis informed by statistics and extensive user acceptance testing to deliver informed, friction free experiences
- Tracking and reporting on user experience metrics related to the success of UX improvements with detailed analytics
- Proactively staying updated on, and reporting out, industry best practices, emerging design patterns and evolving user behavior
- Developing and maintaining cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders (ex. internal teams including Brand & Creative, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Product & Engineering, etc and external agencies)
- 5 years of experience working in the field of user experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
- Demonstrated expertise in information architecture in order to organize and structure digital experiences in a logical and intuitive way
- Online portfolio highlighting multiple projects and direct contributions in the field of user-focused design
- Deep experience with UX tools and software, including wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD); as well as strong proficiency of usability testing tools, analytics platforms (ex. GA, Hotjar) and task management software (ex. Asana)
- Strong understanding of both interactive and visual design principles, with deep acumen in creating wireframes, interactive mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate the functionality and behavior of a digital experience
- Experience leveraging analytics and success measures, developing testing opportunities and adapting UX based on results
- Experience working in UX in/for a software company or marketing division

- Collaborative and communicative: You will work as part of our larger Web team, including a designer, developers, a production manager and a project manager. Strong collaboration and communication skills are crucial for effectively working with team members and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and incorporating feedback
- Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities: You possess analytical skills to interpret research data and metrics, identify user pain points and propose design solutions. You are able to think critically and creatively to solve complex UX problems and balance user needs with business goals.
- Passionate about continuous learning due to the constant evolution of the field of UX design and emergence of new trends and technologies.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment: The Digital Marketing team juggles many projects and initiatives and the UX Specialist must be able to successfully manage multiple projects at any given time and be adaptable to reprioritization when needed.
- Within your first month, you will have met with key stakeholders and have familiarized yourself with Collibra’s design system as well as the company’s product and service portfolio in order to set a foundation for future information architecture.
- Within your third month, partnering with internal design, shadowing on existing UX projects. You have identified the metrics on which to evaluate success of UX initiatives (e.g., bounce rate, time on site, etc.) and are collaborating with Analytics team to report on, monitor, and improve those metrics over time
- Within your sixth month, you will be independently spearheading UX designs, partnering with internal design and have performed a comprehensive audit of the information architecture of the Collibra.com with proposed improvements
The standard base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
