The Challenge

As a vice president of corporate communications and public relations, you develop strategies for public relations, manage our annual Trust profession survey and report, improve brand awareness, set internal communications strategy, develop internal communications plan, lead executive communications, ensure consistent messaging across all our platforms and assist with storytelling at the company narrative level. You will direct and monitor the performance of the external communications team, perform proactive business media outreach, create annual media relations plans, and as needed act as a spokesperson for the company.

Your responsibilities also include leading crisis communications working closely with other functions based on the situation, assisting with or writing speeches for executives, providing strategies about corporate interests, and developing plans for inspiring employee engagement. You will establish metrics and measurement plans to monitor the effectiveness of corporate communications, leverage data and market research, and provide proactive and reactive advice.

Your Mission

You will contribute to the success of our business and work with OneTrust C-Suite executives on a regular basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to enhance the company’s visibility, increase brand awareness, and communicate the company’s priorities with external stakeholders, and engage our target audiences.
  • Create a public relations strategy that will enable leadership to maintain and boost important relationships with targeted, external audiences, including the media and influencers.
  • Direct communications efforts in risk/crises management, corporate positioning and customer relations efforts.
  • Identify challenges and communication issues within the organization and propose effective solutions.
  • Work with the leadership team to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute suitable strategies to support them.
  • Serve as a representative and lead point person on media interactions that help promote the organization.
  • Supervise the communications team by mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback, as well as holding them accountable by conducting performance reviews and overseeing their development.
  • Ensure good media coverage and a favorable public image of the company by formulating and maintaining a proactive media relations plan, with a focus on engagement with key journalists and publications.

 

You Are
  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a senior management role and relevant experience in Executive Communications, Public Relations and Internal Communications.
  • Proven track record of working with senior executives and creating and implementing successful Corporate Communication strategies and programs.
  • Advanced writing, editing, and presentation skills, as well as project management and client management skills.
  • Strong collaborator working across multiple functions to achieve best outcomes for customers and the company.
  • Leadership skills that motivate the team and inspire talent development and high-performance and high productivity.
  • Significant experience in positively handling communications issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams and outside agencies
  • Experience handling and navigating crisis communications to ensure minimal disruption to the business and minimal reputational harm.

 

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range$220,900—$331,337 USDBenefits
