To achieve this, we are seeking an exceptional VP of Engineering — a dedicated builder and people leader — to achieve our goals.

The OpportunityYou will lead and scale an R&D organization of 100+ engineers, primarily in Leuven & Munich, with additional teams across other European hubs. You will focus on creating alignment and driving delivery across the various teams.Our complex, threat-driven domain—rooted in security research—requires comfort with ambiguity, guiding discovery, and ensuring execution without stifling innovation. You will shape the engineering organization for its next phase of international expansion and growth, building scalable structures while preserving our creative spirit.

What You Will OwnLeadership & Culture

• Be the on-site energizer and leader for engineers, fostering a highly motivated environment.
• Instill a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and bias for action in R&D delivery.
• Lead with clarity, high standards, and act hands-on when necessary (firefighter mentality).

Organizational Growth & Execution

• Evolve R&D into scalable, clearly-owned engineering groups tailored for complex, research-heavy product delivery.
• Lead hiring, talent development and efficiently integrate acquisitions.
• Ensure reliable, high-quality product delivery and predictable releases, balancing exploration with market needs.

Platform & Strategy

• Advance a cohesive platform vision (protection, testing, threat telemetry, attestation).
• Maintain strong technical credibility and guide the pragmatic adoption of modern tooling, including AI-based tools.
• Partner closely with the CTO to co-design processes and translate strategy into execution.
