The role

We are looking for a passionate and diligent WHS Coordinator based at our Warehouse in Pemulwuy. The WHS Coordinator provides expert support and advice throughout the organization on Work Health, Safety, Injury Management, return to work tasks and Workers Compensation. In this role you will ensure a safe work environment for all team members and make sure both local and global strategic initiatives are being implemented.

What you’ll do
  • Take ownership of KPIs and business metrics for return-to-work and incident management,and contribute to the development of communications and initiatives to improve businessperformance.
  • Provide updates to the WHS Manager and Site Managers on Workers Compensation caseprogression.
  • Review and organise data to contribute to reporting to senior management regarding RTWand safety performance.
  • Create Individual RTW plans based on role and capacity considerations.
  • Liaise with injured workers / team leaders to monitor and drive progress with return-to-workprograms.
  • Review, file and administer documentation for Workers Compensation case management.
  • Support Line Managers to implement health and safety initiatives.
  • Work with the onsite management team to complete risk assessments and workplaceinspections.
  • Liaise with Line Managers and provide WHS advice and training where deemed necessary.
  • Liaise with production staff for day to day health and safety communications and support.
  • Contribute to continuous safety improvement opportunities and site compliance.
  • Work closely with the production team for internal incident reporting, investigations,monitoring and closing out incident and injury corrective actions.
  • Any further tasks as deemed suitable for the role on a day to day basis.
What you’ll bring
  • Cert IV WHS with 2 years’ experience in WHS essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Hands on experience with RRTW Coordination and knowledge of NSW WorkersCompensation Legislation and return to work programs preferred.
  • Cert IV Training & Assessment preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Strong team work ethics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with sound time management skills.
  • Ability to develop toolbox communication and training resources.
  • Proven experience in delivering workplace training sessions including mentoring employeesas required.
  • Proven experience in all aspects of risk management.
