Workplace Technologies Unified Communication/ AV Engineer (Experience Level 5 Engineer) in Okta’s India Office location Q1 Note: Provide US Hours Coverage
The candidate must be highly motivated, have a sharp eye and attention to detail, respond quickly when needed, and have sound decision-making skills.
Job Role Summary:
- Experience managing global enterprise communication and collaboration solutions
- Drive implementations, enhancements, and remediation of Unified Communications/ Audiovisual hardware & SaaS applications
- Design, deliver, and document existing and new enterprise solutions
- Design & Deliver AV standards for conference rooms: New Office Build, Refresh, and Office Expansions
- Ability to lead the engineering direction of services and team
- Expertise in SCCP, SIP, H.323, H.320, WebRTC, and RTMPS protocols for voice/ video calling and streaming, with a solid grasp of Layer 2 & 3 Networking Concepts
- Drive the design and implementation of enterprise conferencing, collaboration, voice, video, webcast, and mobility infrastructure
- Partner with the business to evaluate workflows and identify any changes or enhancements that can improve/ enhance hardware or software systems
- Excellent technical leadership skills include project planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
WT/ UC Engineer:
- Lead critical objectives Zoom, Video Conferencing Systems & Collaboration Platforms
- Requires a strong strategic and security-first mindset
- Experience with enterprise integration, automation, and improving process efficiencies
- Manage the life cycle of SaaS applications
- Design, Deploy, and Support AV conferencing and event solutions
- Provide Administrators SOP and Colleague Training with Documentation
- RCA Documentation and Develop Redmdeitation Plan for P0/P1 issues
- Produced Quick Reference Guide for Colleagues
- Establish strong Security/Privacy/Legal to secure and deploy SaaS applications
- Partner with Security/Network teams to deploy on-premise solutions
- Evaluate Tools for colleagues and make recommendations
- Evaluate Conferencing Hardware and make recommendations
- Provide C-Level Support
- Advanced Troubleshooting of SaaS applications, Security, and AV Systems
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for delivering results
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, including inter-organizational impact
- Interact with senior internal and external personnel on event production matters, standards, and related projects
Required Skills and Experience Level:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in CS, IT, Audiovisual, MIS, related technical degree or equivalent 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in fast-paced pace highly secure environments
- Advanced knowledge of SaaS platforms and AV systems, operations, and maintenance procedures
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise IT and SaaS security principles and best practices
- Strong ability to build, execute, and complete initiatives with minimal oversight
- UC Platforms and AV Systems Integration
- Advanced understanding of corporate network architecture, management, and networking technologies (WiFi, DNS, QoS, VLANs, etc.)
- Track and document daily to quarterly activities per Okta’s requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum, development tools IDEs, and version control systems.
- Experience with on-premise security systems, e.g., Badging Systems, Security cameras, etc.
- Security Compliance Certification ISC2
- Familiarity with QSC, Dante, Crestron, Shure, and AV over IP
- Collaborative thought leader with the ability to take a proactive approach to dynamic technical aspects of the role
- Cross-functional Collaboration with various teams, organizations, and vendors
- Okta Essentials Certification is a plus
- Jamf Associate Certification is a plus
